CECILIA LINDWALL - Soprano

 

The Swedish soprano CECILIA LINDWALL was trained at the Norwegian State Academy of Music and the Norwegian State Academy of Opera in Oslo with professor Ingrid Bjoner and Mirjana Dancuo.

She made her debut in 2000 at the Norwegian National Opera as Musetta in La Bohème.

After finishing her studies in 2001 she was the winner of the International Opera Competition Kammeroper Schloss Rheinsberg, where she made her critic-commended international debut as Lentulo in Graun's Ceasar und Kleopatra.

Since 2003 CECILIA LINDWALL has been a member of the soloist ensemble of Staatstheater Braunschweig in Germany and in March 2007 she made her debut at the Deutsche Oper in Berlin in Carmina Burana.

The last seasons included also Agathe in Der Freischütz in Nordfjordeid Opera and Violetta Valery in La Traviata in Ringsaker Opera and in Kristiansunds Operafestival in Norway.

Her repertory includes roles like: Fiordiligi in Cosi fan tutte, Mimi in "La Bohème", Adina in "L'elisir d'amore", Michaëla in "Carmen", Iphigenia in "Iphigenia in Aulis", La Contessa in "Le Nozze di Figaro" and Liu in "Turandot".

Besides the opera she frequently sings in concerts and as a recitalist in oratories and masses such as Dvoraks "Stabat Mater", Beethovens Symphony no. 9, Mahlers Symphony no. 2, Brahms' "Ein Deutsches Requiem" and Mozarts "Requiem".
